Can anyone help me? I have an Atom 8000 stb which has worked fine for 3 years. I just changed my connection to a different lnb and now I get lnbp flashing as an error message. I have changed back to my old dish and lnb but still can't get rid of the error message. Does any one also know where I can get a software loader and new firmware for the Atom 8000 box?

Check the connection of the LNB outside at the dish,..make sure that no part of the screening braid is touching the solid centre conductor of the cable,..even 1 strand will cause a short circuit in the system and might be the problem,...do the same inside at the receiver end of the cable,...let us know how you get on,..regards

See if you can do a system reset m8
Of course you will get the error message if you have no LNB connected too

Hi Tony
What do you mean by M8? I have tried connecting the stb to a known good cable plus signal switching on and off but still get the lnbp flashing. I can't get access to the menus. |

Tony means that you should try and do a factory reset of the receiver,...this won't guarantee to fix the problem but 99% of time it will fix problems like yours,..let us know how you get on,...regards

Hi siege thanks for responding
My problem to do a factory reset is that I can't access the stb menus because the error message just blocks everything. I do have a cable to connect to my computer. Is it possible to do this by loading the original firmware? And does any one out there have a copy please? |
