Default Laptop Battery Power

I have a problem with my laptop battery and was wondering if anyone can help. I have only had my laptop for a couple of years and yet the battery won't hold any charge. The minute I have it unplugged, it says to save my work because it is going to shut down for lack of charge. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

I had the same problem, no idea what it was. I'd advise getting it serviced, or buying a new battery.

Sounds like a real problem there - may be worth taking it to a local computer repair shop for a look at it, as it could be nothing more than a lose connection preventing the battery getting any charge in the first place.

Of course, the battery itself could be completely knackered and may need a new one - ut better to check if it's a little thing first.

I once had that problem with a laptop and was told that it is likely to be a problem with the laptop as opposed to the battery.

Confirmed when I got a new battery and found that the problem remained. As Brian says its best to get it checked out.
