Default TM 6900 Questions

Am thinking of getting a 6900 or 6900 super receiver but have a couple of questions which I would be grateful for answers too .

1) Does the TV scart output a SD RGB signal (only have a crt TV at the moment and looking at the 6900 manual it's not clear there is a RGB scart output option)

2) Is the Component output a SD signal (again to a CRT TV) (presumably you don't get an HD signal from an analog o/p )

3) When using an external Hard drive do users normally keep it switched on ALL the time , or only when something is to be recorded

Thanks in advance

Default TM 6900 Questions

component output gives both SD and HD output. the fact that it is analogue has nothing to do with SD/HD. Depending on circumstances, component can deliver a better HD output than a HDMI.

l have just got myself a Technomate TM-6900 Super COMBO HD, but at the moment, l still have my old JVC wide screen TV (later on will buy HD TV). My Question is, can l use the reciever with my TV (non-HD) ? l set up the conections for the reciever to the TV, but had no signal coming through from the reciever, only the channel serches showed on screen, but no sound or picture from any Channels. Not sure what to set on the reciever menu to make it work. But when l changed back to my old TM-1600, it work perfectly. Please can you help ?

Thank you in advance, Foggy

Default TM-6900 Super COMBO HD to TV Problem

Hi Everyone, This is my 1st post, and new to this.
l have just got myself a Technomate TM-6900 Super COMBO HD, but at the moment, l still have my old JVC wide screen TV (later on will buy HD TV). My Question is, can l use the reciever with my TV (non-HD) ? l set up the conections for the reciever to the TV, but had no signal coming through from the reciever, only the channel searches showed on screen (the conections are all ok), but no sound or picture from any Channels. Not sure what to set on the reciever menu remote control to make it work ? But when l changed back to my old TM-1600, it work perfectly. Please can you help ?

Thank you in advance, Foggy
