Deleting Channels on a DBOX 2

How do I delete channels I do not want on the DBOX? I tried deleting them from the bouquet editor, but they appeared again under 'Other' after I saved settings. Is there another way of deleting channels?

the best way to do it is to ftp into neutrino (flash FXP is best)
goto var/tuxbox/config/services.xml

Open the file in notepad look for the name of the channel you want to remove then delete the whole line

eg

<channel service_id="021A" name="TV :Sky Trvl Extra" service_type="01" channel_nr="0"/>

all of the above per channel.

If you have the sectionsd scan on - it will refind any channels that you delete. The other way is to create a "myservices.xml" file (use your services.xml file as a template) and place that in the var/tuxbox/config/zapit folder, the format is as follows:-
