does anyone know if this will become fta.i am using a technomate.6800hd it seems strange we got bbc1hd and itv hd but channel 4 is encrypted. thank you

Hi m8

You can get Ch4 HD as long as you have a s*y card...just the ftv card is OK. I get it fine now (and Ch 5 but you don't need the card now as it has just gone FTA).
Strangely, although the RadioTimes listings show when CH4 is transmitting in HD I find all the progs watching on this chan are much much better...but when HD is on (as in a film or Desp Housewive) it's really excellent...sound is superb too (I think better than the BBCHD chan).
You have to have s*y box too though to keep your card charged up but CH4 HD is going FTA soon in anycase I believe.
