Ok so i was watching tv last night and i saw an advert or something to a full years subscription to HD TV, Now the thing is they said SKy HD or TW HD?
I thought N*L said that thier would be no HD service yet. (Please correct me if im wrong) surely if N*L own TW and TW have the service then we'll all get it reasonably soon. Wont we? Has anyone got this service or seen anyone using it. Id love to hear whats in the boxes ect and how they are transmitting the data. |

AIUI, the TW HD service is active, their HD box is called the TV Drive it has an internal Hard drive like the Sky HD box, but it has 3 tuners. There is talk of a limited NTL HD service late this year, with a full roll out next spring.

Does any one know anything bout the streams or encryption yet?
Is the HD stuff on a VOD like service? What will they need to do before we get it or is it just a new box. eg Do they need to upgrade the exchanges also? Cheers Mick |

I believe they are carrying the terrestrial HD channels (like on the London DTT trial) and a few of the basic subscription channels, not sure about movies and sports though.
