Around 1 out of 5 times I change the channel on my DBOX 2, The screen stays black apart from the epg, but I can hear the sound. I have to flick the channel back and forth a few times in order to get the picture up. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Also, what do the first and last yellow logos on the bottom right hand corner of the epg indicate? The first one from the left is a picture of a key or something, the second one is the 16:9 indicator, the third one is the Dolby Digital indiactor and the last one is a square or something. I don't know what the first and last ones indicate.

Try changing the ucode - the key means an encrypted channel and I think the last means teletext

Thanks. How would I go about changing the ucode? Would I be able to do it via the DBOX menu?

Depending on the image, it's usually in the blue button advanced menu and then maybe in hardware settings. You may also have to go into the main menu then settings and misc to turn off SPTS mode.

my brother had the same problem with his dbox 2 other day with no picture and only sound, we found out that the scart he was using went faulty hence to why he had a blank screen, SO CHECK UR SCART
