Itv hd

Can anybody help - I cant seem to get this channel on my Technomate 6900 HD, all I get is the ident screen. I know it is possible as other members with this receiver seem to get it OK. I have checked all the settings and the signal is fine.

I think this channel is still only a part-time channel and can only be viewed with a freesat/FTA receiver, the video stream is using H222 video encoding rather than the usual H264 format,...someone else may know different though,..regards

Yes but it says no channel is being broadcast or words to that effect when nothing is coming throu. I would suggest you do a Google .... there is a site which listed off solutions for ITV HD since I added mine for the CT5000 there. But I can't remember which site it is right now and pushed for time.

You would think so or some latest upgrade to the box.

Basically the datastream has a screwed up header to fool your sat box essentially all the S$y UK HD ones. Since they can't alter the PIDs they are a bit sunk. The solution is to put the PIDs in by hand via a channel list editor and on the CT5000 you have to click on protect the PIDs or words to that effect. That then stops the box taking the header stream and saying this isn't right and changing them.

Blowed if I can find the site which listed off solutions by box. You can trying Googling Josh and ITV HD and you might stumble on it.

Reading posts carefully isn't one of my best points, but sure it isn't just the screen being broadcast when HD isn't available. Unlike some other channels ITV HD doesn't upscale SD content, so it just goes live from the screen when there is programme material.

I know they are suppose to be linked. If that's the case the CT solution would work. That's on this site in the CT tutorial section as I recall, may need to search back to mid summer time.
