Default Satellite dish and LNB position

Hi,

As you can read from this question, i'm now with all the satellite stuff.
I receive with my system Sirius sat and i want the change it to Nilesat, can i use Satellite Finder Meter to do it?
Is this possible for me to do it?
If so which is the simple meter to use?

Presumably you are not motorised? We need a little more info like your approximate Lat. and Long. and your dish size. Then we can say wether it's worthwhile you moving your dish by consulting LyngsatMaps. You will have to change azimuth (where it points in the sky), elevation (how high/low it points) and the LNB skew (the angle it makes with the dish) by twisting it in it's holder.

Sorry, the dish isn't motorized.
I locate in Israel so the Latitude: 31.5 (31° 30' 0" N) and Longitude: 34.75(34° 45' 0" E). The dish size is 1m.
It meat be better to add new dish?

Here are the footprints for Nilesat Wide and Middle East beams..

By looking at your location and then noting the number you can look in the table to the right for the suggested dish size

So it looks like you will get all of the Middle East beam and most (if not all) of the Wide beam with your 1M dish

hth

Have a look here for how to setup your dish..

The last link in this post will help you more

http://www.satmoz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29363

Just enter your Lat & Lon or location name & dish size.. and it will calculate the dish angle for you
