Wireless makes things easier because you can be anywhere and you dont have to run cables through the house, but i know the old wireless systems used to randomly drop your connection, not sure if its still true though. Personally i'd go for a wired solution

I found that a bit of both is best. I have a Netgear Rangemax next router as my main wireless connection in the house. I then use my old belkin wireless router to connect to this. Ethernet connects the belkin to the 360.
2 reasons for this. Firstly I'm tight and would rather figure out how to use the Belkin instead of buying the XBox wireless adapter! And secondly, apparently if you use one router for all your connections then if busy performance can suffer for xboxlive. When using a second router, I can guarantee the bandwidth allocated to it. Therefore my surfing and downloading doesn't affect my online gaming. If you do it this way then mke sure you either get a wireless gateway or a second router that supports client mode.
