Default How to use the softcamxxx.key with patched firmware

Hi,

I just buy a Ctech HD 5000 C Plus, without any Cam Card. Till now, I don't succeed to uncrypt any channel after loading the softcamxxx.key to my receiver, however, I'am using the latest firmware 1.62p.

If someone could tell me how can I do to get channels uncrypted ? Is there somwhere here any tutorial ?

Do I have to buy additionnally a CAM Card ( Viaccess, IRDETo, etc....) ? or only by putting the latest softcam.key and choosing a listed channel should work ?

thnaks in advance

Default Help Required Please

Hi,

I am new user for a CTECH HD 5000 Combo+ and I would like to ask you a support on the usage of the softcam.key. I don't have any CAM Card, and I would like to know how I can get the channels unscrambled(whatever, mybe HD ones) by downloading the softcam.key into the receiver. Offcourse I already download the latest firmware 1.62p.

Do I have to choose a key from the list of 8282 when a channel is selected ?
Or It is automatic /self decoding ?

I expect when I chose one of the listed channel, it sould be clear/unscrambled ?

P.S.: My dish has dual LNB pointed to 13°/19°.2

thanks in advance

Default How to use the softcamxxx.key with patched firmware

Have you already installed the patched Firmware.. and which method did you use.. Rs232 (Null Modem Cable) or USB memory ?

Softcam.key is installed the same way.. and that's all you need to do

To enter DCW's (Direct Control Words) you would press 8280 on the relevant channel and add the DCW key using your remote..
Pressing 8280 will bring up the correct place to put DCW keys.. Then pressing Ok/Select on the remote will invoke the hex keyboard for entering the keys..
Exit & Save and it's done..

Download and read the Satellite Abbreviations & Terms.rar here which will help you understand the terminolgy:-

http://www.satmoz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37259

There are useful stickies in the Clarke-Tech Discussion section too which you should read..

Default How to use the softcamxxx.key with patched firmware

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your appreciated support, in between I got the channels finally uncrypted (J*tix, etc...).

In fact, it was mentionned C+ (FR) on Astra 19°.2, and on this was my trial but this still not yet working but some others channels mentionned in the latest s*ftcam I got this noon are finally uncrypted and clear.

Do you have an idea why the C+ FR is stil encrypted ? ( it is mentionned beside the code line M.s.o.c., what does it mean ?

Anyway answering your questions, I downloaded the latest firmware by USB and the same for latest softc*mxxxx.key via USB as well.

Now as this begins to work, I will continue to have more decrypted channels and try to experience the other methods for DCW entering... ( offcourse reading your famous terms.rar ) ;-)

Thanks a lot !

Default Softcamxxx.key entries with Biss Editor

Hi,

Here me again with new questions:

1 - When I have in a softcamxxx.key the following:

....
Seca2 Providers and Keys
....
S 0081 0C **************** ;canalsat 19.2°E
S 0081 0D **************** ;canalsat 19.2°E
S 0081 0E **************** ;canalsat 19.2°E

Are we sure that the canalsat would be uncrypted (AU) by choosing a channel from the its multivision ?

The same for (Viaccess):
V 008C00 08 *************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 15/12/2002
V 008C00 09 *************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 12/10/2002
V 008C10 08 *************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 15/12/2002

What do mean the dates ? Is the uncryption is still vlaid ?

2- Biss Editor 8280:

Where in the softcamxxx.key is mentionned the following :
--------------------------------------------------------------
;-------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------

Biss Providers and Keys (da inserire manualmente-key editor8280)

----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
......
.....
B **************** ;FOX TV Serbia 13°E
....
....

Does it mean, I select this channel Fox TV Serbia ( alphabetic sort on Hotbird), I type 8280, I enter "****************" on the first line and I leave the remaining data as it and save then back and the channel will be uncrypted and visible ??

3 - DCW keys:
Where in the softcamxxx.key is mentionned the following:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DCW Keys
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
......
F 11739:27500:V **************** ; MTV Base (19,2E) 0500 6FF5 0141
....

Does it mean, I select this channel MTV ( alphabetic sort on Astra 1), I type 8280, I enter "****************" on the first line and I leave the remaining lines unchanged and save then back and the channel will be uncrypted and visible ??

4 - What is the differences between softcamxxx _USB_.key and without _USB_ ? Can I load via USB the one without ..._USB_.... ?

5 - Why there is so much keys in a softcamxxx.key file ? are all keys valid ? Or it is just append/Merge from previous versions without deleting previous obscolete keys ?

Thanks in advance
Regards

Are we sure that the canalsat would be uncrypted (AU) by choosing a channel from the its multivision ? Multivision & TPS is no more since 2008. Encrypted & AU are 2 different things.. AU is when the new key is received and updated automatically from the provider

The same for (Viaccess):
V 008C00 08 ************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 15/12/2002
V 008C00 09 ************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 12/10/2002
V 008C10 08 ************** ;Canal+ Fr. 19°E key update: 15/12/2002

This is not open using a softcam and whoever supplied the softcam hasn't removed obsolete keys/channels The dates are when the key was updated last

2- Biss Editor 8280:

Where in the softcamxxx.key is mentionned the following :
--------------------------------------------------------------

Yes if the Biss or DCW key is valid. Note that DCW's don't usually last very long and can expire before you even put them in! Biss can last for years in some cases or a few hours.. The luck of the draw

3 - DCW keys:
Where in the softcamxxx.key is mentionned the following:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DCW Keys
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F 11739:27500:V ************** ; MTV Base (19,2E) 0500 6FF5 0141
....

Does it mean, I select this channel MTV ( alphabetic sort on Astra 1), I type 8280, I enter "**************" on the first line and I leave the remaining lines unchanged and save then back and the channel will be uncrypted and visible ?? Yes but type in wherever the curser is and be careful not to overwrite existing 'good' keys! (Treat DCW & Biss the same for the sake of updating them)

4 - What is the differences between softcamxxx _USB_.key and without _USB_ ? Can I load via USB the one without ..._USB_.... ?
If your receiver is the USB model then usually load the USB softcam

5 - Why there is so much keys in a softcamxxx.key file ? are all keys valid ? Or it is just append/Merge from previous versions without deleting previous obsolete keys ? As i said above most softcams haven't had obsolete keys & channels removed and this makes it a larger file than need be.. When i was writing the softcams i always tried to remove old keys

Thanks in advance
Regards

Edit: Removed keys - No keys allowed in Discussion sections please!
Please Read our Rules - Thanks

Your post was auto-moderated because you included keys and therefore it became invisible to all except Mods and up

Default How to use the softcamxxx.key with patched firmware

Hi parad0x_i,

And Many thanks, your answers would also be helpfull for whom like me begin with this topic.

Sorry to put the keys in plain text, your remark about the rules is understood !

One remaining remark on DCW:

When I select scrambled channel and enter the menu via 8280, each time the cursor is on the first line, where there is 16bytes key(valid/invalid I don't know) data on it. Also, the following lines are not empty and contains data. usally there is a total of ~44 lines. I noticed some lines arround ~30 contains only ZEROs.

Should I put the new 16bytes key on the line where only ZERO or I can overlap existing data on a line ( radom choose 1 ~44) ?

It seems to me (with your remark to be carrefull to not overlap existing correct keys) that ~44 lines means, in the menu 8280, only 44 channels max would be uncrypted via DCW method ?

P.S.: yesterday, I experienced one DCW k*y with s*tisfact*on S*, S*, S3, S*, S* on Hotbird13°, without sucess, I guess already dead since posted on 16/05/2009

Thanks and Best Regards
