Default Mutiple dish setup

Please let me start by saying what a great site this is I have done a search but was unable to find anything to help with my problem. I have a moveable 1m dish connected to a TM receiver and a unused S*y dish. What I would like to do is to connect a second feed from my movable dish to a TM9100 in my conservatory and also take feeds from the S*y dish to both recievers only controlling the movable dish from the TM in the living room. Could anyone give me a step by step on this set I would be most grateful.

Default Mutiple dish setup

Hi and welcome to SatMoz..

I'm a bit puzzled why you would want 2 feeds from the $ky dish to those receivers when if the 1M dish was connected and motorised it would pick up 28.2E very well..

Easiest way would be to fit a twin LNB on the 1M dish and take each of the (2) outputs to each receiver..
The advantage being you have no switching to complicate the motorised setup and each output can be switched independently by the individual receiver to change polarisation and by 22kHz to change the band
This means you can watch different channels whether V or H on the same sat..

However if you want both receivers to access both dishes at the same time then you could do it
using 2x twin LNB's and a special DiSEqC switch
See diagram..

Thankyou for your quick reply Tony your diagram is exactly what I think I want as I do not want to move the Dish with the second receiver in the conservatory as I think it will complicate matters more. From you diagram I take it that the dish motor goes onto the spare connection. I guess I disable the motor in the Disec setup on the second receiver is this correct?. Again many thanks

Modern motors are pulsed from the receiver using the same coax. I've now edited the motor into the diagram..
The
DiSEqC switch will come with a wiring diagram so you shouldn't have any problem.. but note you want the type or similar type as in the pic.. and i advise you check with the supplier that it can do what you want it to..
