If i record some Tv using my Dbox and lappy would i be able to watch these on my lappy or can they be only viewed back through the Dbox/TV?

Recording with SPTS on generates a .ts file which can be played back with VLC and Media Player Classic, with SPTS off it generates separate audio and video files which can be multiplexed automatically if using dboxwinserver to a .mpg file IIRC
