New Image Install

i appreciate your interesting stuff about using DreamUP. Many thanks, then.
I want to install a new imagr in a Dreambox 500-s, but i wasn't able,even after reading your document. Until now, i am not able to perform any operation. i don't understand how to realize a flash erase.
other readins were also unclear about that for dreambox 500-s.

Do you already have a working image on your 500..?

If yes then use Flashwizard Pro via the LAN lead to reflash..

Is very easy and fast..

Thank you for your kind support.
i am using Enigma 1. and it's time to change it for a dynamic image.
I tried flashwizard but i found not completely for DM500-s. i tried, for instance, to keep first a backup of my now running image. but, unfortunately, Flashwizard performs the related operation in a way producing a file with extention fw2 and so, with another structure that is done purposely for other dreambox sets.
As of the operation "flash erase", until now, i dont grasp the meaning of such operation that is done after ta new update or installation - on the contrary of what is done with receivers other than ones with Linux, i must say.
In addition i have read a document where it is cited by its author, it is possible to ignore Flash erase routine.

Until nothing is clear enough to get through my will.
