Hello can anyone help me i'm from switzerland and bought recently a dreambox DM 800HD,i have the channels but can't get the image and the sound for the channels,what must i do in the set up to make it functionned,does anyone know plse help. Yan

Hi Jeremie

You say you don't get an image or audio, do you have a signal ?
Try scannng the channels and see if it makes a difference. Or do you mean scrambled channels ? Sorry, I'm a little confused, can you give us a little more information.

I have only the name of the channels,think i got a signal but can't get any images and don't know where to go with the remote control of the dreambox to make audio and image functionned. Its my first time with a dreambox,help me plse.

Hi jeremie

First you have to be sure that you are receiving a signal, look at the signal meter on the dreambox. If you are receiving a signal, then be sure that the channels you are trying to view are being broadcast on the satellite your dish is pointing at. It is always best to scan the channels yourself. There are many websites that will give you up-to-date frequencies like Lyngsat, or king of sats, look for bouquettes with Free To Air unencrypted channels. When you execute a scan the dreambox will display the channel names as it finds them. After scanning and saving the channels, you must determine weather the channels you are tryng to view are encrypted or not. It's best to try and scan some free to air channels, as you know there will be video and audio.

What satellite is your dish pointing at ? and what channels are you tryng to view ? What image are you using on your dreambox ?

Yes, unless you have a Linux pc. The USB drive must also be formatted to Linux recognised format (ext1 or ext2).

Hi,

Since 3 weeks I have received my DM 800 Hd Clone.
It was ok on 15.8*East sat, with my subscription card I can get all the
prepaid channels Parabole Reunion.

I was scanning a second satellite at 10.0*East(many clear HD channels).
May be I wrongly configured the prescan stages, and now I do not have
any Audio or Video on the 15.8* sat.

Where have I interfered to cause such a disorder.
Emu or CCCcam or Common interface.

How to remedy ? step by step guide, please.

With interest I will wait for your reply.

Hi,
THANKS for replying with celerity. Utilised a Satlook to peak signal
source of Eutelsat W2A @ 10.0*EAST.

On the Satllook there was audio and video on Ku channel 11663 H 3838.
strong signal- Lyngsat mentionned 50 /52 dB over Mauritius.
I am more interested with the channels on the C band (250 cms Prime Focus
Paraclipse antenna), Tried to scan the following with NO GOOD result.
3927 R 8300 5/6, 3937 R 8800 5/6, 3951 R 11200.(all MPEG 4 8PSK)
Polarisation R , I have interpreted same as Horizontal, is it correct ?

I proceeded that way-- I went to MENU on RC, then to MAIN MENU ,
SET UP, then to Service Searching, Tuner configuration, CHOOSE Tuner-
Tuner A - Alps DVB-S2 / Eutelsat W2A.
Then SATFINDER - I checked both these channels-
3865R 13333 DVB S MPEG 2 7/8 (SNR 0) 93% AGC
3927 R 8300 5/6 DVBS2 , 8PSK (SNR 0 ) 93% AGC

A Manual Scan specifies 0 channel found.

In the pre scan parameters, what have I overlooked ??

With 0% SNR , I cannot venture further manual scan, it will bring to the same result.

Is there a site where I can read about C Band parametering the DM 800 HD.
