Spv M5000

Hi all -

Can anyone please shed some light on unlocking the SPV M5000, its on orange , and i want to unlock for vodafone.

Ive downloaded some software(thanks to BuzzDev.net), performed the upgrade but nothing , still simlock.

Help appreciated please.

yes, i did this last night, i will retrace my procedure and post results, i do remember that i had to downgrade the ROM version and unlock the phone to superCID, the whole procedure only takes 20 minutes

you need microsoft activesync and a mini usb cable, i wil if ican post a link for the rest of the kit

Thanks m8.

I did think i had the right files and ROM at one stage, but completely trashed the phone, until i reflashed with an updated ROM from Orange themselves.
(all ok, back to square one!!)

Ide appreciate your you help with posting the results on how you did yours. Thanks also for the quick reply

ok, i have the set-up file and instructions for all PDA type smartphones. but it is 70mb so i need somewhere to put it and some time, i will see what i can do in the morning, i also need to speak to the admin if he'll let me upload a 70Mb file onto here,

It will be a very useful peogram to have on here

by the way, this phone is no longer called an SPV M5000, it is now called a HTC Universal handset, dont ask me why, this is what i have been told
