Default Windows back ups

Hi guys

Is there anyway of backing up Windows without using the restore or back up features built into Windows. Windows restore most of the time cannot do a restore when required. The back up featues genrate to large a file.

I use nortons ghost and a 2nd external drive myself.

yes m8 ghost is the way i personally use the dos version all you do is at the command prompt type ghost.exe and press enter, the ghost screen will appear choose local/disc/to image select where to save either an internal secondary drive or cd/dvd drive and in a few minutes the drive is backed up, to restore all you need to do is choose from image as your last option. you can also backup an individual partition in the sma way. cya.
