Default Satellite in Turkey

Hi my first post and I am a total novice in this world of satellites.

I have a place in turkey, my current setup there has two satellite dishes one pointed at Thor and one at Hotbird my receiver is a Next.

My problem is that as I am not there all the time the receiver box is turned off and consequently when I turn it off a lot of the channels I get are coming up scrambled. I then have to call a guy out who downloads codes to the box via a usb stick. Obviously this costs me every time, I have been told that if the box is left powered on then it would auto update (don't know if that is true).

Anyway is it possible to do this myself and how easy is it to do, do I need any special software to download it to the box and where do i get the codes from.

Thanks for any help.

 no relation to daisy, we just both like Turkey but not paying someone to download a few codes for us if we can do it ourself by the sound of it.

Anyway my receiver is a Next YE-2000 CX Super plus.

Sorry but I can't remember the exact channel names but i used to get two film channels in english, hallmark channels, discovery channels, al jazeera news channel I also was able to get englih football but in a foreign language.

I think the guy used to download all the codes as once he had finished I had loads and loads of channels in a variey of languages.

Ok well the first codes you are needing are for DigiTv on Thor and these can be found in the Nagravision keys section of the forum if you are able to update via your remote..

Here:-

http://www.satmoz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26295

Otherwise you will need a softcam keyfile or .bin file to upload to your receiver using the USB memory stick or an RS232 Null Modem cable from your Pc to the receiver.. Memory stick would be easier

I'm not sure if the Coship keys can be used..
We don't have any Next keys on the forum at the moment

Thanks Tony.

I will try that next time I am out there, the box seems to have quite a comprehensive menu system so hopefully I can enter them manually. Otherwise I will need to locate a bin file which it looks like they have used in the past for updating it.

By the way I have read elsewhere about the change from nagra2 to nagra3 I presume this will affect what I can receive.

Welcome m8..

DigiTv will eventually change to N3 encryption but until it does just enjoy it.. Most of the posts claiming this & that are repeating rumours and until it happens i see no point in worrying about it..
Besides.. when one door closes a window opens somewhere ..
