Hi clobryn

First of all, which image are you using. Are you using a motor, or a switch or a single fixed satellite dish ?

Press the dream button, then setup, service searching, automatic transponder scan. Then pick the satellite you want to scan from the box at the top, you may need to scroll down until you find the correct one. Press green to start the scan and it will scan the frequencies for that satellite. When finished you will be told onscreen how many transponders scanned and channels found. Channels are automatically saved.
If you select manual scan instead of automatic, you simply input the frequency you wish to scan, select whatever options you want, then scan, again channels are saved automatically.

Hope this helps
