Hi, I am very new. I do not know how to use these codes.
I have Clarketech 5000 receiver and I see many Astra channels are nagra and irdeto scrambled. I hear that its not too complicated to unscramble these methods. But how? What do I need ? Can anyone explain for a dummy? |

To be fair with you many, many years ago i start this great Hobby by read daily. Anyway maybe a USB stick or Module can help you but remember there are not many channels on Astra1 to unscramble.

What was that in English it might have had useful information - LOL.
There are two ways of getting the codes into the p version of the software either keying them in by hand. Somewhere around here you will read the number combination to open the menu up to do that. That one is far too much like hard work if someone has already done it. So you download from that thread I mentioned yesterday and you see them elsewhere on other sites. Then you stick in the USB, browse the CT menu looking [Menu], [Data Transfer], pick the drive it's on and directory, then [Up Load Key]. If it's one that's been cracked and the file is up todate then you will get it. The other thing you will need to do is sort out a null modem cable and the software to talk to the box, from CT web site but probably on here as well. That's so when you kill the box at some stage you can reload the software in via the RS232 route if you get one of the corruptions. Getting this sorted early on means that least you know it works. Also best to get hold of the channel editing software so you can back up your channel lists. Again software via CT and may be here.

just repeated the English remarks in Dutch: rules, hi-jacked thread, introduce yourself in the Introduction forum. That was it roughly translated.

Hi friends,
Thanks for information and your warnings. I am sorry but I do not even read user manual when I get an electronic device or service! Why would I read it here? I prefer to learn by experience! :-) I read a lot from your previous posts. Is there a rule that nobody gives clear instructions or complete information ??? It's like a puzzle. Anyways I am a hacker of 25 years (not on Sat). I learn quickly. (sorry pal, hacking is not a hobby in our terms, altough its fun and exciting) In a very short time I messed up my Clarke Tech 5000... Total caput! I upgraded to official firmware 179, then understood that it must be p version, upload the 164p, no more start. Device was dead. Then I found the problem, thanks to you. And I found solution, thanks to you. Null modem cable, downgrade, then upload 179p, viola ! (I know there is this thank you button, but I did not use it because I was quickly reading almost everything, thanks again...) I downloded softcam keys (wow I have the terminolgy, thanks to you) into usb stick, about 50 of them, up to my Clarke, all updated. But nothing (or I missed if there is one or two useless programs) is descrambled on Astra channels... May be Glenn_911 is right you cannot descramble Astra channels. But in those keys file, there is not much information of what satellites and channels they are for. I can only guess from some posts that 4.8E Sirrius is descrambled most. I really wish to know why. Is it because only Powervu is possible to descramble? I was thinking that most easy one was Nagravision... 4.8E is bit difficult for my configuration. I have a wavefront T-90 dish. At the far right, I should be receiving 42E (Turksat) and I am not sure if I can receive 4.8E at far left. I have to try. The reason that I wish to receive Tv vlanderen channels is my kid. He is 8 yrs old limproving his Dutch. He is in Dutch school in Belgium. For few kid channels I do not wish to buy very expensive packages that we will never watch. I'm not a TV watcher guy. If I can watch some documentary channels like National Graphics and news from few Turkish channels thats OK. Now, if you can give me some advice for Dutch children channels, I would appreciate most. Thanks again. |
