What do you think of my Aerial design...?
I've bent the elements to shorten the span
They should be around 4.4feet each side for 10m

driven = 6018 / f(MHz) / 4 = length in inches
reflector = +4%
On reflection.. I think the feed will be only 25R and need a balun

Will try to construct it as soon as i can source some fibreglass rods

Hi m8..

It's a slant on a Hex.. but i reckon the Hex loses some rejection by having the reflector 'wrong'

I certainly will keep you informed here..

Just sourcing the fibreglass arms is the biggest problem..

Got all the other bits today..

I think i'm going to make one for 2 metres as an experiment using garden canes as the arms.. just to test the design.. as i reckon i can do this sometime today..

If i can open an Irish repeater i will consider it a success!

It looks promising Tony,...i'm always interested in low-profile antennas,....not looking for DX just getting a signal out is fine,....re-fibreglass arms,..a lot of amateurs use roach poles,...there not readily available in this part of the world more common down your way though,....

PS:just found this in the latest Radcom for fibreglass tube
