I am going to jump in here and say a few simple organisation things...

Try doing a factory reset, make sure you have the needed passwords as comes with your reciever..

Then carefully pick your FIRMWARE and KEYS-BIN and go again...

Looks to me as you are not 100% where you actually are, and that is never good.

Look back through the above messages but take only what is the obvious fix....I.E. the latest..

You can upload loads of stuff to this reciever and if your not sure you will end up with, for a lack of better terms, a mongrel....

Does not respond to your wishes..

I am in this game a long time, when I get in the CRAP I revert..

Mouse caught, I don't believe that the P version of the software works correctly as release on 179p for the CT5000 and variants unless someone tells me other wise. It was shipped without keys. As I've said elsewhere I don't think the German market is too interested these days in decoding via the softcam but just getting the card reader in the box to recognise valid pay cards. That's my view.

I wouldn't do a factory reset unless you you want to do a lot of work to get the box back to how it was. I gave up with the functionality of the P version sometime ago and just use it for reading the card we can't talk about, Diablo does the clever stuff since you have to face it that the market for a cam across boxes is going to be much bigger than the market for softcams by box type and since CT hardware is targeted at the German speaking market, if they loose interest in decoding particular channels types then you suffer. That they have as far as I can tell. On the German board for this box they can't even say key now, it has to be said k*y so that tells you alot. I think they are worried about law suits from prems new owners.

Gone back to firmware version 162p as suggested by "^^COMPASS^^" uploaded the latest keys and things seem ok now.

Sensible move if you are happy with this release since 179p isn't working as a full P version as far as I can see but just leaves our German / Austrian neighbours to shove their valid cards into the slot of the box which the official one doesn't [179].

I did say when 179p came out for the CT5000's that it wasn't fully functioning as a P version and did ask anybody else to comment as to whether it worked for them. I don't think they did.

The CT software has been problematic it one form or another for their top end boxes for the last 18 months, so not releasing a p version for six months indicates that they were trying to sort out the official release which basically had been screwed for 18 months for the CT5000 and numerous dross p releases from about 135. Then when they did release the 179p it was released without "k*ys" and was called a framework or something.

As said above and I have said elsewhere you might as well give up trying to use the CT5000 and variants with the latest software p version of the software since you can't get the keys into it, unless someone wants to say otherwise. It was released for the German market so they can put their own valid "S*y" cards into it's card slot so it's about giving basic functionality of the card reader to all types of cards, that's the goal at this stage. If you want something other than that then you have to use old copies of the software or use a cam ie. diablo.

I pull my hair out over the CT [have done] but I'd rather have a valid working version of stable box software than a p version issued without any QA. That's what you now have.

Now you know 162p works, you may wish to play a little with newer firmware if you wish, as you can always revert back to 162p if other firmware isn't opening RAI4
