Default What am I doing wrong?

I'd really appreciate some help please.

I have a ClarkeTech HD5000C Plus
I have firmware version 179p installed
I'm trying to update the softcam but am not sure exactly how to do this.

I go to MENU
Then to STORAGE
Then to DATA TRANSFER

The file list shows the name of the softcam key (currently: Ctech Softcam USB 040909.Key)

The options I have are:
RED Button - Upload NDF
Green Button - Upload Key
Yellow Button - Select Disk

What should I do from this point forward? And what should happen?

I don't have this receiver!

But from what you wrote

I would say press the green button as a softcam contains keys.

please let me know how you get on

Regards...

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Tried the green button and the OSD says:

"Don't power off the STB", "Reading", "Writing"

Then

"Succesfully Completed", "Uploading OK"

Then

It created a new file in the File List on my USB stick called: 20090906-152818

Does this sound like it's worked ok. Hasn't cleared RAI 4

Delete that off you usb memory stick.

Please try this

Go to data transfer and click>ok
now you will see a panel with Ctech Softcam USB 040909.Key,
highlight it,
press ok on the highlighted Ctech Softcam USB 040909.Key
then it will load and when it gets to 100% and has loaded,
and the receiver has re-booted [turned off and on again]
and the channel opens.

you have now loaded the Ctech Softcam USB 040909.Key,

The above is the method for Technomate receivers & should work on Ctech as there clones.

Regards...

Tried that, everything goes as you described but RAI 4 still doesn't clear. Could it be that the key hasn't been updated for RAI 4 on 13E

I have checked the softcam and the keys are correct

frequency
Rai 4
13°East
Hotbird
10992
V
27500
3/4

You could try a re scan on the above frequency

The patch is turned on ?

On TM receiver if you press Mute then exit whilst on Rai4 it takes you to the key edit box there you can check the keys are correct.

Regards...

Put on the channel ->
then press8282>
seca blue 06A6>
Save

Exit

Key combinations are exactly as you say but unfortunately I don't know what to do when I get in there.

Well i checked the softcam in my TM receiver and it opens Rai4

Double check the pids are the same as the ones below

v pid 0523
a pid 0604
ppid 0523

If there correct it maybe a software bug that prevents Rai4 from opening
