The problem is not with the Eurovox but with your TV. It must be set to automatic for the aspect ratio and changes depending on the signal of each channel or even when the adverts are on. Set your TV to 16:9 if the black bars don't bother you or set to full screen or zoom if they do.

no point in setting your tv to 16:9 as eurovox does not output a 16:9 signal,
whether you select full screen or letterbox it is still outputting a 4:3 signal so best to keep 4:3 locked for eurovox. the fullscreen setting crops the sides of wide screen transmissions to fill a 4:3 screen

i have one tv where I can zoom the 4:3 letterbox signal to fill the full widescreen, but the picture is a bit grainy

hopefully an update a some stage or a box that can do it properly.

Hi Its not the box its the TV, there is no setting in the box, try putting the scart into the other one, if its used swap them around, this may fix it, of if you have a dvd recorded put it through that and use the DVD recorded as your new scart, also see if the TV has an auto aspect, turn it to auto if it has. ps bet it a Sony lcd.
