If you haven't played Sid Meier's (the guy who developed lots of other great games, such as The Sims) Pirates! yet, I highly recommend it. It is very addictive and fun. You can choose which country you ally with, which girl you court, and which ships you sink/pillage/steal. Try it sometime! The only downside is that you need a computer with a good graphics card, as it is very graphic intensive. Has anyone else played it?

Sid Meir did the Sims? Didn't realise that - remember him most for Civilisation, which was fun but annoying.

I remember back before we upgraded our graphics card, playing things like Sims was the slowest thing ever!

I like Sid Meier's games, and I'll have to check this one out. It sounds pretty good. I like strategy games very much.

sid meiers pirates is a good game but his best work is CIV 4 top game

The sims was actually done by a guy called Will Wright. That said I love the new version of Pirates! I remember the original on the Amiga, I wasted so much of my life playing that. I wanted to get into CIV 4 but I just don't seem to have enough free time nowadays.
