Default Gmail Spam

I've just noticed that e-mails from this board are being classified as spam by gmail and put in the spam folder - if anyone else uses gmail, it would be a good idea to check your spam folder

Interesting - I'll have a look to see if the server IP is blacklisted.

I've marked some e-mails as not spam and it seems to have learned and is now letting them through to me.

Sounds good.

Does Gmail by any chance happen to bin messages when the titles are frequently similar?

Outlook does this to me, which can be a real pain when you keep replying to someone around the same message.

In response to your question, I think so. At least, it catches all the spam which has similar titles. I've never had problems with it filtering out non-junk, though. In any case, I think its spam function works pretty well.

How can you tell where the spam is coming from? I know that my g-mail always has lots of spam anyway.

I heard something today about spambots cracking some kind of code on Gmail and that's how they're getting through. I think I'm the only person that like them because I write down the funniest subject lines and show my younger brother who gets a kick out of them. Gmail wins as far as worst spam goes :P

I love the ease of use and features of gmail, but I don't use it anymore just because of the spam.

It almost has no purpose for me either. I have the mail forwarded to my hotmail and most of it is Myspace stuff, and I go to the site and check it so it doesn't matter. Entertainment purposes I guess.
