Default motor setup

i have a technomate 1500 ci+ and im going to try intsall the motor this weekend. Ive seen the instructions and it loooks like there is a bit of work in it. Am I better of doing a blind scan after i have the motor setup or just an doing individual a scan on each satelite? I downloaded a channel list on to my receiver but it messed up my channels and favourites a bit, is it possible to download a new channel list from somewhere or is the scan a better option?

I would say you are better scanning as you'll find more channels, however, if you can find a list to download, they may already be sorted into some sort of order.

whats better a blind scan or a scan on each satelite after i have the motor setup? the last time i did a blindscan on the receiver it took about 5 hours and then it didnt complete it, it said the channel memory was full. will i need to clear the channels first and then start the scan after i have the motor setup? thanks

If you only want TV channels, make sure that you set the search for TV, and not ALL. This will prevent the stb from searching for the radio channels.
