Default Anything planned for Christmas?

Last year Christmas totally crept up on me - I got the shopping done, but didn't get a feel for the build up.

This year I've nearly been caught unawares again, so I've had to ensure that I plan some family stuff to help get into the Christmas spirit.

The first is that I'm going to see if the kids want to watch the original Star Wars trilogy over the coming Christmas weekend.

We're also going to watch The Muppets Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve, then the weather being good, we'll go for a walk on the evening to see all the different Christmas decorations on people's houses.

Actually, will probably also do that before Xmas Eve, just in case the weather turns nasty.

Will probably logon on Christmas Day, but that's normal.

The only thing I'm disappointed with so far is that I'd ordered some really nice lingerie for my girlfriend online - but it doesn't look like it's going to arrive before Christmas Day.

That is too bad, Brian; maybe things will work out and the lingerie will get to you in time.

Presents are wrapped and under the tree. The parties and open houses started this past week. This week, I have two more events to attend before Saturday, then Christmas Eve and Christmas I actually managed to not accept multiple invitations for Christmas dinner this year LOL.

LOL actually I am. My employer is finishing the process of combining our two call centers into one mega center and I am the point person at corporate for making sure our customer base is situated properly. Also, I am here this week to hang out while we switch local phone and internet carriers at this location this week. But I think it is safe to say I will not have to stay later than normal...so I will get my share of egg nog and other holiday cheer!

My Christmas day is busy...split between time with my dad and his family (for breakfast), then with my mom and stepdad (for dinner). Gifts are already under the tree, and we already know that we'll all still have trouble falling asleep tonight from the years of childhood excitement

Just got back from my inlaws and I am already exhausted. Just waiting for the boys to fall asleep so we can finish up and head to bed. Tomorrow we head to my parents for the day. You all have a great and safe holiday.

It's now the day after Christmas and I'm still exhausted! And I thought vacation was supposed to be relaxing...
