Hi people, i have a eurovox max v3 2006 blue box.
Whenever i do a power scan it always crashes at 419 Mhz, every single time and i get no channels. So i have to press exit and it then saves the channels up to this point. If i want the channels after 419Mhz then i have to do a power scan and start it at 420 Mhz, but i cant get both at the same time, This all started happening in August, as i was trying to get setanta and it wouldnt find it so i pressed factory reset, and had to update firmware but i had loads of problems!
Does any one have any suggesstions about wheres best to start to sort this out, how easy is the firmware update, i have an rs232 lead, please help my wife is doing my nut in!

From the system information from within the menu my
model is DVB-XC BOX,
S/W VER- 1.0SSC4 JUL 11 2006
H/W VER- 2.0 JUL 11 2006
BOOTSTRAP V002

the firmware youve got on is almost 18 months old so theres a 90% chance this is whats causing your problems
How long have you had the box?
theres a good chance your box is a clone and any firmware later than the feb blue box 19/02/07 will kill your box,but even this firmware will massivley improve the functioning of the box and also improve the menus and EPG.

You will need Dnupman and the feb firmware then follow this guide and you shouldny have any probs

1.connect your box to pc and power up (your pc wont detect the box yet)
2.open Dnupman
3.click on browse and locate your firmware
4.click on download and Dnupman will start checking your com ports for a eurovox
5.when its found your box click start to send the firmware
6.it should now start downloading and should take approx 3 mins to flash
7.when download is finished it might say download failed, but should jump to download successfull straight away.
thats it done! any problems i will try to help you with but you wont (shouldnt) have any!!

ps dont use dnupman on the max v 2008 model

Thanks Ronster luckily my box is not a clone, i have tried to update the firmware and it seems to get stuck on system reset, am i right in believing that i should unplug my power lead to the box and then re-insert, this is what i did but it just stayed on system reset. Do i need to factory reset on the eurovox before i start,
Cheers brad!

Hi

I'm new to the Euro Vox Max V and I'm having trouble loading the channels.

The screen says 'channel not currently available'

When I select powerscan (290 - 500 mhz 6887) it appears to find 'something' as the quality rate goes to 85%. However, when the system returns to the user installation screen there are no channels or tps listed.

Please help! What am I doing wrong?

Is there anywhere to download the Dnupman program I need to update my firmware/save my channel data?

I've read through all 13 pages but the two links both dont work. I did a quick search of the Forum too but couldnt find a link to a download?

Cheers.
