i have just bought the Eurovox max V and understand that it must be flashed in order to get full use, but i have this problem the flash program stops and freezes while trying to find a com port , i have even reset the com port from 1 and 2 to 1 and 3 and still no joy.
im not sure if im suppose to get ANY activity on the front panel ..i.e a led light or 2 ...on my box i get nothing, almost seems dead ?.
i dont have another box or anyone else with a similar box i feel a bit stuck...any help would be great ..thx

i just retryed the flash installed that i got from the supplier (iwantabox.com) all i seem to be getting is "Flash install failed" the firmware file is EVXTX_H_071123.bin using the STB loader over a 9 pin com lead that came with the box !
any info/help would be ace .

Hi Dragy2k, I used this update file " UFL_EUROVOX_MaxV_Kuro_BETA2.exe" on my Eurovoxmaxv and everything works perfectly fine.
If you have a genuine MaxV try this 1 out,Worked fine for me and new menu is cool and picture seems sharper too.

Hi all, iam trying to load new software to my EUROVOX MAX V BOX, I only have USBs on my laptop, I bought a USB to serial convertor lead but cant get it to work, it says no com ports recognised when I click download button, am i using the wrong cable??

You need to use a null modem cable in conjuction with the USB adapter.

Hi, when you say a (NUL MODEM CABLE) do you mean the 9 pin to 9 pin cable that came with the box? If so, iam using this but getting no communication with the box. Am i doing summut wrong? Iva loaded the software for the USB driver if i go to device settings it says the device is working properly.

Ok, i have sorted the problem, the usb to null adapter port needed to be changed from 9 to 1, now its loading. Only problem now is, ive loaded kuro beta 2 to the box but its finding no channels, all coming up red on scan, thats with signal booster on or off, any ideas???? Its doin my nut in????

You need to do a powerscan for your provider. Just select full powerscan in menu, installation, user installation, press yellow button.

This will find all the TPs in your area. After it has finished go back to user installation and press the red button to update channels.
