Hi all, im new to this forum and would really appreciate some help. I wa reading this thread and tried to do a manual update - as explained in the 1st post. I followed the instructions exactly as it says and selected a provider from the list (selected telewest as my actual service provider is virgin). After this i deleted all channels and did a full scan. Although i have got all the channels back i am now missing a lot of epg data. I was hoping to try and put back to how it was but all i can do now is get to the provider list. Any help would be hugely appreciated. By the way im based in the newcastle area if that makes a difference for my set up.

hi wizweb,

i tried that but to no avail, tried another powerscan today but i just can not get any more than a few channels to display. after the powerscan i select a channel say sky 1 - the epg stuff tells me the channel i am on - the signal is 80% + , but all i see is a black screen. have left it on the black screen for an hour+ but it never updares.

any idea's....

thanks......

There was no need to do a scan as the frequencies are unchanged.

Input the codes again as a fair few people have made typos/forgot the saves/didn't reset Emulation and EMM Capture.

Hi All,

Never had much reason to post before, as my EV has performed so well since i got it in Sep '06....however, im having some trouble tonight, as all scrambled channels are showing the "please wait, codes updating" message. I've waited for ages, but no change. I've re-scanned etc, but no change. From reading through the last couple pages, i see a lot of people are also having this problem. Can anybody explain to me why this is happening? and what i can do to rectify the problem......Also, ive not got a PC anymore and my laptop aint got a null modem connection - so I hope I dont have to re-flash the box?!?!?in

P.S. I'm N-T-ELL and have a red EV Max 2006
