I am used this firmware (UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_10_04_08.exe).Is it i am using right firmware? and my box is EV MaxV.
I found CDF for sheffield, but I haven't load to my box yet.

For your information I am using Vi#gin Mdia and I live in sheffield. If you don't mind, could you let me know correct symbol rate for Vi#gin Mdia and Sheffield. So from there I can change factory default and do powerscan.

Thanks you for helping me..

You would be far better to update the firmware to the 18/4/08 version as what you have used was a 'quick fix' whereas 18/4 is a full release.

The symbol rate you need to use is 6.952.

Hi Folks
My other has informed me that our Eurovox has stopped working, with a message saying "NO SIGNAL" on all channels. She reliably informs me that the cable IS plugged into the back of the box. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is it a common problem? Any advice gratefully recieved.
I'm in the North East with V**gin.

north east is a reasonably big area with different original providers.
the k*ys have rolled today so you will probably need to update your box with the latest firmware or input the latest k*ys manually.
all is available on the chatterbox toolbar

To back up your channel info you need to connect your box to your PC via the NULL MODEM cable. Launch the UFL (firmware) on your PC and under the Channel Data section Browse and set a filename and location. Now click on 'Upload' - this will copy all your channel info, frequencies, fav groupings etc to the name and location as specified by you (this is your CDF or Channel Definition File). If you want to restore this file to your box simply reconnect your box to PC, browse for your CDF and click on the 'Download' button under the Channel Data Section of the firmware.

To switch off the Autosort function
Go into Menu / Installation / Fast Install and press OK (enter pin 1004)
press the red button on the remote for advanced install
Scroll down the options and turn Fav Sort off
Press Exit on the remote control (not OK)

You need to switch off this each time you are re-scanning as it resets back to ON after each scan

the 28/04 firmware is for boxes that have the 8% signal problem, if you didn't have that problem this software will most probably make your signal too high.
you need the 18/04/2008 version
