Eurovox tutorials

Hi, i'm new to this forum and i realy need help with my eurovox 2. The problem is that i am currently using the codes to update it and i've noticed the new firmware is available on the toolbar but when i try to open it wont allow me to as its a bin file and it says "open with..." i also downloaded DnUpMan and when i browse the ev2 firmware and select it, in the second box it says "invalid file". I have also tried to extract the ev2 fix but it still says the same "open with..." and now i'm realy stuck as i dont no anything about computers or softwares etc. I would realy appreciate if anyone can give me a step by step guide on how to get the firmware into the DnUpMan loader.

p.s. someone on an auction site is selling the firmware which is on a disc for £10 please can someone tell me if its worth buying or will i encounter the same problems.

Tony, You shouldn't have to buy anything on the net, and £10 seems a bit of a rip to me, Just google for BigMaq tool bar

tony you need to download microsoft.net plus win rar to enable you to open these,you do'nt need to buy anything,all you'll get is whats on the toolbars, any more probs lets no.

brought a eurovox 1000sl from a place in bradford carnt seem to put the firmware on it keeps flickering from ports 1-3 pc is ok also cable as i flashed a old eurovox max i have any one got any ideas

Tried everything to get them back but no joy.

Even left it for over an hour with Updating codes and still nothing.

Only go my box about 4 weeks ago.

LOL - if they knock on your door and ask you if you have a non-subscription cable box, what are you going to tell them?
