Hi, I'm new to this. I'm thinking of buying a cable receiver: It looks like the Eurovox is much easier to use: Is it better than a Dreambox? Also, I understand that Eurobox comes ready to go straight from the box, but only for Free-To-Air channels: where do I get the software/Firmware to put into the Eurobox to allow me to view all the channels on my Virgin Media cable connection (I Live in London).
Appreciate some help Thanks |

i assume u will have the eurovox maxv if so then do the following.......once u have it all plugged in u have to do a scan eg menu, installation, fast install, enter pin which by default is 0000,then press red button then press ok,screen will go blank for a short while and then it will start scanning for all channels takes between 10-20mins to scan so be patient. once scan is complete u should have all channels,,,,,for firmware just download bigmaq toolbar

Quick question, should I be using a splitter with the Eurovox? Do I need to keep my Virgin box connected for any kind of feedback?

It is always best to split the feed and keep your subbed box connected to avoid arousing curiosity from your provider

Hi all,
I am new here and the concept of eurovox. I have read a few posts and i guess this is what i have to do to install eurovox PVR 2008, i think. -Buy the box -Connect the box the pc with null cable -Download the firmware onto my computer and install it to eurovox via cable -scan for channels. Am i right is is there any other steps involved as well. Also is it just a one off firmware install, or do i have to keep doing this regularly? Thanks for replies.
