CD/DVD Driver & Audio
Hey guys i'm close to the edge of insanity so i thought id come on here and ask for your help.
I have a Acer Aspire laptop 5630 and for some reason the dvd rw ssm-8515s CD/DVD Drive has totally stopped reading the disks. I can see that the drive is working it's just that the laptop says the CD driver is corrupt and i don't know what to do. Also, my RealTek High Defintition Audio isn't working aswell and also the laptop is saying the program is corrupt. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks |

Hi
Firstly our anti virus is upto date isnt it  DVD/CD drive - try a drive cleaner could be muck on laser head - but wont cure corrupt driver - is anti vi up to date- some virii prevent help via cd. as for software as cd is not reading could cause error not alowing software to load or you could try system restore (XP only suppose) or acer recovery disc. hth |
