patching manhattan sr range is the same for all models,
from the st100 to st550. plaza models.
*********************************************
[1] first you need a null modem cable.[female to female]
[2] make a folder in your doc's, ie:-[ call it patches]. to put the patch and loader in. this makes it easier to find for loading your stb.
download the zipped folder patch,[ make sure you use the
correct patch]. for your model number.
[3] connect the null modem cable from the com port on the pc:
to the rs232 port on the back of the receiver.
[4] leave the receiver turned on and in standby mode.
[5] explore the loader panel and patch file in the folder.
[6] double left click the loader file, to open it.
[7] on the loader panel click the browse box and find
the patch file, then load it on the loader panel.
[8] now click the connect box, then turn your receiver on
it will show the receiver menu and you will see the
patch loading,-- on the loader panel on your pc:
you also see the loading, wait untill it says[ loading successful].
on the panel, then exit the loader panel.
your receiver will re-boot, and the channels will open.
turn off your receiver and remove the null modem cable,
turn your receiver back on, now you can view the channels.

now this is the downside for the manhattan st range of receivers.
the last patch for this range of receivers was may 5th 06
and in my opinion i think all support for patches has finished, and
like most manhattan users i use a dragon cam. these are good quality
receivers that would be even better if the support was still available
there are lots of posts on other forum's complaining about the support
and saying they will never buy from manhattan again, they also say
that manhattan dont answer any e-mails about these receivers.
