ah i see, ive tried both codes, one gives me nothing. The other one, while giving me lots of good channels misses out ITV, channel 4, channel 5 and quite a few others, is there any way of getting the frequencies and adding them manually or anything? will reflashing the box help? sorry but im a complete novice, any help is much appreciated!

if your not picking up as many channels as you should be, have you got the latest firmware 15/03/2007, cos there may be an issue with this version,
try this and see how you get on. manually edit your frequency table and change them all to 1.000 mhz difference, so 130.000 mhz change to 131.000 mhz and so on all the way down the list, and then do a re scan, you shold get a better response. also i managed to reduce jitter/squeak by replacing the original telewest regal 2 way splitter with a new one from maplin, and its perfect now. http://www.techwatch.co.uk/dbox2-eur...7-red-box.html |

Hi Guys.....
All of the problems above ive experienced especially picture problems, trial and error has got me to a stage where ive a good knowledge of this cable box, For those in Dublin using this box with Cho*** and N** here is something that might help.... Symbol Rate is Always 6.887 Frequency: 291, 299, 307, 315,323,339,347,355, 363, 371, 379, 387, 395. Eurovox : Press - MENU, INSTALLATION, USER INSTALLATION Enter the 13 Channels with Symbol Rate as above, Press OK then AUTO SCAN (red button) Channels should be all there but only viewable once Correct Software is entered. |

I done that step by step instuction on page 1 on power scan and its mucked my box right up. I now dont get any channels all i get is Channel unavailable and when i scan i dont get anything. When i do a factory default it scans and then says check cable status and then nothing. I fear that ive lost £100 for nothing. Is there a way of getting my channels back? and evey time a go to full power scan it only say quality 8%

Right guys
i had a similar problem and rectified it by chopping the screw on connector off and putting a normal aerial type connector on. the problem i was getting was occuring because the cable shielding was not making contact with the outer core of the connector im presuming the outer core is the earth. give this a go. tho instead of choping the cable tv screw on connection. do it on ur extension cable. ensure the earth makes contact with the outside part of the connector and none of the thin shielding wires are making contact with the inner core, Kind regards Ammo |
