When you have problems with a Technomate 6000 HD (Super) and 7100
Symptoms: no picture, blue led burning and display showing:
Needed:

• USB stick fat32 formatted with latest official firmware in the root: \
• or working null modem cable (test this before you find out this is not working)

have your Technomate 7100 or 6000 HD Super connected to a screen
On Technomate with firmwares over 7.00/7.00p you have now 2 rescue methods:

• USB <= click here fast & easy
• Serial <= click here, Little more complex

Serial
with all devices switched off:
connect null modem cable with Computer Com1 and with Technomate Serial port
Switch on computer, when computer is booted
Switch on TV
use the Technomate Downloader 1000 / 5000 / 6000 Series
and the latest official Technomate firmware for your model.
select the firmware in the downloader (Browse)


press connect


switch on Technomate (back power switch)


Technomate downloader should find Technomate


Firmware transfered to Technomate


Technomate (front display) receiving firmware


Firmware install: several erases


and writes



Do not interrupt

• this process
• remove Serial cable
• play with the remote controller
• switch the power off

wait until Technomate reboots by itself

When the Technomate is rebooted: click here

USB from firmware 7.00 or 7.00p
Switch off Technomate (back main switch)
press menu on Technomate frontpannel, keep it pressed down and Switch on Technomate.
release menu button when Technomate Display

and TV monitor shows:


Only now put fat32 formated USB stick with firmware in Technomate USB port!
Select option 2 USB Download (Browse)


With RCU cursors select the firmware


Press OK


The loader will either upgrade


or download and upgrade


Technomate Display will also show what is going on


Do not interrupt

• this process
• remove USB
• play with the remote controller
• switch the power off

wait until Technomate reboots by itself

When the Technomate is rebooted: click here

After the STB reboots it will show the TM logo

and then Menu Language


select the language for you. Now you can load the latest patch with the latest add-on (even if you don't use C S) and have to do the setup for your Technomate and reload your channellist.

It is important for you to keep details of your setup on paper for your DiSEqC / LNB's / Usals / motor setup and other menu settings you change!
