I am just installing my new DM500HD replacing my old Technomate... Its so different however I'm struggling on and have managed to setup a few satellites and scan them with one exception - THOR - I find it lock the signal then do a manual scan result no services anyone any idea why. all the others worked fine somewhere in the setup must be some bum information on thor but where..... and there has to be a better manual than the one I downloaded perhaps a future project to write one...

Why not try and install a pre done channel list. There are many out there and they can be sent to your box in various ways. I use dreambox edit other use different different ways. You can also download a settings list from the online server you can connect to. This would say you time scanning each satellite.

Well I found a site that lets you select whatever satellites you want and creates an xml file great but what's the best way to upload the file and is it safe? The network is setup so I could use that or a usb or what do you use - as its my first experience with this type of box a little of your experience would be a help. I have listed below a link to the site and I hope in doing so there is no problems for the moderator if there is please remove it.
