Okay I kinda been in denial about this Nagra3 upgrade comin our way. But guess now card through the door
it aint far away. Still kinda hoping that they might leave my node on the old system...Or send me a card with the full shabang on it by mistake ![]() Anyhow when the note (telling me I shoulda got my new smart card by now) dropped through the door I rang them and told them I didn't get a new smart card hey it might hold it up lol...'Don't throw the switch yet Dickie, Mr Baws hasn't got his new card sorted' They hummed and hawed and eventually said they would post out a replacement. Today I am getting the message to update card on subbed box everytime I change channel now so guess the end is very nigh How come my Dbox won't get all the freeview channels...I read posts here saying just 1-5...How about I just stick my spare card in it and get all freeview channels.? nah thought not ![]() Guess if I got another Virmin box off ebay could I just stick one of my new cards in it and get some service? Hope so or I'll be fighting the kids for Cbeebies or ehhhh mmmm errrrrrrrrr Channel 4 probably ![]() Anyone know? |

Humforce did you read my post? I think you'll find they don't often send out smart cards to households that don't have subscription service with them.......
Maybe the info got lost in the babble?? Or maybe you just didn't explain properly why my plan won't work? Anyhow its commin across like you only read the first paragraph before answering I already got (always had) a sub box off them!!!!!! I also got RG6 cable to the rooms I want to view cable tv in..... If I get TWO cards (by telling them card not arrived) and if I buy another VM box off ebay and put the second card in it, will I be able to get duplicate service in both rooms? I am asking incase the cards are encoded to only work with the box it was authorised to work with (a bit like mobile phones and sim cards were 15 years ago)?
