dm 500-c is good but some complain of weak tuners ,the 500-c on ebay if less than £150 are clones from china and you won't get any warranty .
max's are plug and play if your supplier loads firmare and channel file for you if not its a piece of **** to do

Yeah ditto hey Alex I think ya on the digital forums too aint it?

I had nightmares with my Dreambox, I dont suspect it was faulty but my channels would just vanish it was the most intermitant issue ive ever seen which no one really had, no amount of attenuators/boosters/ and firmwares/files fixed it... but alot were happy and claim there the best box.

Eurovox box within 30 minutes of opening the box it was working fine, I only have slight issues with few movie channels missing but the main thing is the channels dont vanish!

So from a Newbie point of view u cant go wrong with the Eurovox box... although maybe another choice to look into Starview boxes.

Hi Mate
yes on most forums ,yes some swear by the dreambox and dbox I suppose its is more fun playing about with them as they can do a lot more ,but for just watching tv without too much hassle the the max and starview do the job , there does seem to be an issue with some channels just now with the max seems to be worse in some areas than others
