Default New Virgin Fibre Optic B/B - Newbie Question

Hi Guys,

Ok, after years of rubbish ADSL Tiscali steam powered broadband i have finally (a day ago) got fitted the 10mb virgin broadband and phone package. Now just before i start to set it up (not renowned for my tech ability) i thought a quick check on here would be in order.

Do i place the set up disk in my pc first, before i even switch on the wireless router or even the modem ? Also after i have done this do i first switch on the modem then the wireless router or just the router ? Simply i know but the guide i got with the kit is a real simple one and it's difficult to see which is the first step. I have also been left with the rather snazzy 50mb broadband wireless router instead of the usual freebie you get with the 10mb contract (and error on their behalf), will this affect any of the set up.

Any help much appreciated. I was going to first connect the router via cable and then try and go wireless (a mate said this may be a better thing to do). Ta.

Just run the disc and it will promt you when to plug in etc, may be easier to set it up wired first, dont forget to set up encryption with your wireless router or you will have all your neighbours using it.
