Default Windows 7 disk drive and resolution problem

Wondering if anyone can help. I use and old version of Championship manager on windows 7. As the game uses a different screen resolution (800 x 600 i think) to my desktop, for a split second when i exit the game everything in my computer seems really zoomed in, however it then flickers and zooms back out to normal resolution. The other day though when I exited the game it stayed the same and now everything, including this page just now looks really big and zoomed in. Also my disk drive will not longer load any disks at all and I am assuming the problems are connected as they both happened at the same time. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
