As any of you with Sky Ireland know you cannot record from the 'other' channels, which are in the Uk epg, so here's how to do it. Unplug your sky+/hd box. Remove sky card. Plug box back in and let it power up. Uk epg will load. Select channel/programme you wish to record. Press record on your remote. Refit your sky card. The Irish epg will now load but your recording from the Uk epg will continue. Unfortunately this will allow instant recording only.

I didn't think the Sky+ would record without a card. Must try it when I get the chance.

You have to put the card back in or you'll get an error message but it'll still record from the Uk epg once the card is in.
