The problem isen't with the Box my friend, it's the Cable provider. Dont know wot Cable provider you are with, but a lot of peeps are having probs with the Wightcable provider my man, based in Scotland ( Ayrshire )...

Notebook, If ya read through the fourms carefully you will find the people are having various problems with there Boxes, Eurovox/Starview, mainly the loss of a lot of channels my man. I myself, and a lot of other people in my area have the Eurovox Max 3 which is supposed to be self updating, but up to date have lost about 20 channels. The problem we think is that the cable company that we are with ( Whightcable ) which is situated here in Ayrshire in Scotland has changed the Encryption codes, and untill someone post the new ones will not be able to get the boxes to receive all the channels my man. This problem has also been happening in England as well my friend, so if ya haven't bought yourself a Eurovox yet would hang fire for the moment to se if this is going to get sorted out....

actually the boxes are working 100 % all over the uk and ireland ,the problem area is in ayrshire and a couple of guys in london have a similar problem , in ayrshire you could only get 107 channels with a full scan this was before the problems started ,if one of you guys can go into the key manager see what the current key is and compare it against what it should be at least we will know if the auto upgrade file is working or not ?

Might be a good idea if all postees indicated their area....
may track down the problem... also tv pack subscribed to ... or if broadband...
Also, anyone subscribed to all after this for a month and then dropped back to the basic?

Hi Jinx
yes I know the settings are ok as been in touch with delboy from your area , been looking for current keys to see whats active ,apparantly someone in your area had a starview with the same problem and switched off emulator then back on and it worked ,but really strange that the missing channels are being picked up twice but not clearing , don't suppose you know of anyone in your area with a dbox or dreambox 500 ,just to see if they are still working and what keys they have active ?
boxes are working 100% in glasgow ,lanarkshire, greenock ,port glasgow etc

Hi Alex, many tnx for the info my man, i'm afraid i dont know anyone with the D-Box or Dreambox in my area to help with your query, but if i come across someone will let you know wot the score is. I take it these people living in the Glasgow/Lanarkshire/Greenock/Port Glasgow area are all with the NTL cable provider my man, as i have a nephew who lives in Renfrew area and uses a Starview box without any problems. Dont know about you my friend, but i think i made a big mistake in buying one of these Eurovox boxes, as i relay thought someone would have posted a fix to this problem of missing channels by now..... :-( :-( :-(
