Exclamation Desperate! Looking for Connections in Middlesex...

I'm looking for connection in Middlesex. I mean shops or places that can check my modem setup and supply working mac. I don't know if this is asking too much but when I lived in Birmingham, I knew this guy who had a video shop. He had a comp section at the back and did modem/Haxorware stuff on the side. I used to take my modem to him and he'd put working mac on it for me. I'm looking for these types of connections. I know they exist, I just don't know this area.

If anyone knows please PM the tip. I'm trying to get online in Harrow area. It's driving me nuts, I'm literally losing sleep over this crap. I hate VM, they cut me off over some stupid contract breech BS which apparently is in print (tiny) and they want £££'s for reconnection.

I will pay for the service of course but the mac must work. So if you know some peeps, plz let me know.

no offence m8, look around the recent threads and save some money, you might lose some sleep but it will be rewarded with a working modem(sooner rather than l8er) but asking for a "shop service" is asking for trouble and i think all ppl on here would steer away from that(jail time aint worth it m8!)
good luck bud

Jailtime? hmmm...never thought of it as that serious before. I only asked as I have known folks who do this on the side, they don't display 'haxorware service here' in the shop window, of course not.

Like the people on this forum, we are 'doing it on the side'. I just thought if I could find somebody local in Middlesex to help me I would pay them, that's all.

They wouldn't need to have a shop, that's just the circumstance I knew people in Birmingham. Trust me, I have done plenty of reading for a week on here and I paid for VIP on WM and I'm still stuck on the daft activation page. I'll never figure this thing out myself, so yes, I defo have been using the search box and google!

I don't have any 00:d0 macs in a list of 700+ and the few 00:02 I have don't work. I think my method for attaining macs might be right but I'm an Apple Mac. I am now trying DHCP sniffer on my macbook through Boot Camp but it doesn't display any macs. I left for 6 hours, not 1 mac. There is nothing to show me it's working, so I closed it frustrated.

Oh well, I think I might try wifi hacking instead. I'm near students blocks and there are at least 20 wifi spots I see everyday. I suppose it's the same as haxo (using somebody else's connection) so I'm gonna try it. Thanks anyway.
