Well if you really must feck about for no reason with things, turn off the emulation and put a funcard in it with dbox1 files and current keys. However it wont auto update, its more expensive so no use bothering or even worrying about it.

no card is needed for eurovox max cable version
like the others said, its best not to mess about with it
the eurovox uses software keys, and the keys will auto update as needed
and the eurovox does an excellent job of this key update, especially if you tune to sky sports 1, it seems to update best on this channel for some reason.
so the card slot is redundant, and you may well cause problems by putting cards in.

ive heard say there is a satellite version of the receiver which may use the card slot, thats probably why its there, i dont know how true this is

Hello - hope someone can give some advise. Never posted before so be gentle :-)

Have got a DVB-C PCI card which works great for the unencrypted channels. I had hoped to use a softcam.key with Fenrir/Yankse and get all the channels. But its not working - I think the problem is the softcam.key data is old.

Which brings me to the point of the post. Does anybody know if I can use my Eurovox card slot together with something like a Season 2 Interface to get the data to create a new softcam.key

Thanks

This slot is for a smart card (Irdeto Embeded) ISO 7816,GSM11.11 and EMv (payment Systems) Compatibility, could even be used if you have to insert a pin number first for certain programes, depends on the chip on the (plastic card) that relates to the service being received..
