hi all anyone tell me if i get a dish and a sat box will i get brit tv fta channels ie bbc1 itv.

Yes it's possible, depending on where in spain you are you may need a very large dish though.

As Rick said, depending on location/dish size. If you get white card then you can see some more channels with right dish.

Dish size varies considerably depending on exact location in Spain. Are you mainland?

We live in the Granada region of Spain and I recently bought from Sky a white card as the old blue one was cut off. The problem is, when I plug it in there is a message saying the card is not authorised. I've phoned sky and we go through a procedure and I provide the digibox details but when it comes to the firmware version they say it's out of date and needs updating. So we go through the process of updating the firmware but it does not seem to work. The version remains unchanged. Has anyone any ideas why? I'm guessing the digibox can't see the transponder that the updates are transmitted on but I don't know.

Keep trying the forced update,it should update eventually.
What is your default transponder,at your location?
Do you receive 11778V,try changing it to that and then try a forced update.
