Default bios password

i have an acer 6390 laptop,and now when i start it up it says enter password,i think it is asking for the bios or hdd drive password but i dont know what it is.is there anyway round this ive tried to look for the cmos battery but i think it is under the keyboard and dont really want to start stripping the laptop to bitz.

most lapops now have passwords on chips, but if disconnect the cmos battery and laptop battery and hit the on button and leave it for half an hour than there is a good chance it will remove it, the cmos battery will probably be soldered to the board sit. you will need to unsolder it
