Morning all,
This is my first post so be gentle! Im looking to setup a fairly basic system to get BBC HD and a few others..potentially the footie *ahem* I dont really want to go the way of a motorised dish, but dont want to be restricted to 1 Sat. I have seen a Quad LNB 60 cm dish (see link) Couldnt post link but its ebay Can someone explain to me about multi LNB's please.. is it one physical LNB right, that can pick up up to 4 Sats? What range does it have ie how far apart can the 4 be? how configurable is it, and what are the alternatives? Finally is there a setup guide on here for a fixed dish? There are plenty for motorised but non for fixed multi LNB's. thanks again..great site! |

Quad LNB's are usually to feed 4 receivers from the same satellite.
A Monoblock will get 2 different sats from the same dish, they are usually 6 degrees apart designed for Astra1 19e and Hotbird 13e. The LNB instructions will say which is the primary satellite, allign the dish for that and scan with diseqc set for default (usually port A), then for the second satellite, scan with diseqc set for port B. |
